Bhagwan Shri Dwadash Madhav Parikrama is one of the provisions to ensure our good present future and past made by almighty God.
Bhagwan Shri Dwadash Madhav Parikrama was started by the first native of prayag and the son of Bhagwan Shri Brahma ji, shri bhardwaj muni. He worshipped several hundread years at prayag. He is one of the contributor of vedas. He was enlightened and inspired by Bhagwan Shri Shankar Ji to establish shri dwadash madhav parikrama. Bhardwaj muni very first time revealed that the supreme God shri Vishnu ji created Bhagwan shri Brahma ji and inspired him to initiate creation. Yagya was the first creation of Bhagwan Shri Brahma ji, in the process of creation. After creating yagya Bhagwan Shri Brahma ji performed first yagya for 100 years at prayag. Thats why this place is called as Tirthraj (the king of holy places). To ensure sanctity and security of this yagya Bhagwan Shri Vishnu diputed himself around prayag in 12 directions. These twelve forms of Bhagwan Shri Vishnu ji  was later known as dwadash madhav. Prayag is the only place where Bhagwan Shri Vishnu was manifested and present till today. So Bhagwan Shri Madhav ji became chief deity of tirthraj prayag.
Shri Bhardwaj muni also revealed the spiritual and religious truth behind  bhagwan shri dwadash madhav parikrama. He gave us a thesis, that sins of previous years(present and previous births) will disappear and punya (accumulated good works) will rise. If one completes this holy parikrama.
Any person who completes parikrama will get desired in life. No rituals like ashes immersion,pind daan, tarpan, sanskar, yagya, kalpvas and others can not be completed without completing bhagwan shri dwadash madhav parikrama.
From the age of Bhardwaj muni this holy parikrama is running but unfortunatly in the period of mughals it had been discontineued.
Many saints, geat souls, litrates and even Bhagwan Shri Ram performed this holy parikrama during his prayag visit.
After a long gap of 600 years spiritual guru his holiness swami shri ashok ji maharaj revieved this sacred and oldest parikrama. The first batch of parikrama seekers had been flagged off with the blessings of his holiness swami shri ashok ji maharaj on 26 Jan.2014 from his magh mela camp, and the five days yearly parikrama was sucessfully performed by several devotees started on kartik purnima-25 November 2015 and concluded on 29 november 2015, 2016, 2017 Like previous years last year parikrama was performed between 22-26 Nov.2018 from ISKCON Mandir, Allahabad. This year Yearly Parikrama is to be held between 6 to 10 January 2020.
Spiritual Guru His Holiness Swami Shri Ashok Ji Maharaj has not only revived this holy parikrama but he revealed more sacred secret of this parikrama. His Holiness also gave us Shri Dwadash madhav Sukshma Vidhya, by which one can get desired in life even material things like good position, motor car, banglow etc.
Many believe, many not, but it is true that divine power is behind all wordly things manifested in the physical form. Bhagwan Shri dwadash madhav parikrama is the oldest parikrama on earth. As per sanatan knowledge shri madhav ji is the supreme soul, who created Bhagwan Shri Brahma ji, the deity who is responsible for creation of this universe.
